# Version history

> See every earlier version of a team item for 90 days, with who changed it and when, restore one, and bring back deleted items from Recently Deleted.

Added in Cloak Proxy 0.7.0.

{/* L9 draft. Sources: PLAN 7.16, 8.4 (storage); T7.4 (old keys kept to read old versions). Re-check labels against L8. */}

Team Cloud keeps every earlier version of every team item, and every deleted item, for 90 days. That covers requests, rules, mock routes, library entries, findings and vault items. History is end-to-end encrypted like the items themselves.

## See and restore a version

{/* PLAN 7.16, 10 */}

Choose **History…** from a team item's menu (mock routes don't have it yet; their mock set's history covers them). The sheet lists its versions with who made each one and when. Pick one to see it, and **Restore** to make it the current version again.

Restoring writes the old content as a new version, encrypted with the space's current key, so everyone who can read the space now can read the restored item. Your Mac keeps older keys so it can open older versions, even after a key change.

{/* VERIFY(L7) before applying: whether a restore in a protected set by an editor becomes a proposal (T9). Document it here once known. */}

## Recently Deleted

Each team space has **Recently Deleted**, which lists items deleted in the last 90 days. Restore one to bring it back.

## How long and how much

{/* PLAN 7.16, 8.4 */}

- Versions and deleted items are kept 90 days, then deleted from Subcloak's servers.
- History counts toward the team's encrypted storage: 10 GB for each seat. Small items and their history also count toward the team's 4 GB database, of which each member may use a share.
