Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in Cloak Proxy, grouped by window: the main window and its menus, debugging tools, Breakpoint, Compose, search and the API client.

Cloak Proxy uses standard macOS shortcuts plus its own for capture, tools and the API client. This page lists every one, grouped by where it works. Menu shortcuts work from any Cloak Proxy window; the rest work in the window or sheet named in the heading.

Shortcut Command What it does
⇧ ⌘ O API Client Opens the API client window.
⇧ ⌘ M MCP… Opens the API client on its MCP page. See MCP server.
⌥ ⌘ N Compose Request Opens the Compose window to write a request from scratch. See Repeat and compose.
⌘ O Open Session… Opens a .cloaksession, HAR or Charles file. See Save and open sessions.
⌘ S Save Session… Saves every captured request as a .cloaksession file.
⌘ K Clear Session Removes every request from the traffic list.
Shortcut Command What it does
⇧ ⌘ R Pause Recording / Resume Recording Stops or restarts adding requests to the list. The proxy keeps forwarding traffic. See Recording and sessions.
⇧ ⌘ P Capture macOS Traffic / Stop Capturing macOS Traffic Points the macOS proxy at Cloak Proxy, or restores your previous settings. See macOS traffic.
⌘ R Repeat Selected Request Sends the selected requests again.
⌥ ⌘ E Edit and Repeat… Opens the inspected request in Compose so you can change it before sending.
Shortcut Command What it does
⇧ ⌘ A Search Everything… Opens global search: actions, tools, settings, API client items and captured requests.
⌥ ⌘ I Insights… Opens the Insights window.
⌥ ⌘ D Compare Selected Requests Opens a side-by-side diff. Needs exactly two selected requests. See Compare requests.

When a Breakpoint pauses a request or response:

Shortcut Button What it does
⌘ Return Execute Sends the message with your edits.
Esc Cancel Sends the original, ignoring your edits.

In the Import cURL sheet, Return imports and Esc cancels.
